* What were the cocktail onions and olives on toothpicks speared into when you made a 'hedgehog'? Was it an apple? A lemon? An orange? I really can't remember.
The reason why I ask is that on Friday night, I'm holding a slideshow. I decided to serve seventies-style snacks after someone said, 'how seventies!' in response to the invitation. People's responses to the whole slideshow thing were very interesting indeed: either there was total silence or much enthusiasm. I don't think it's possible to be ambivalent about a slideshow.
And I realise now I should have been scouring the neighbourhood garage sales ages ago to get a cheap fondue set. (I feel somehow that Ms Laura might know the answer to the above questions.)
