Ah, speaking of roadside memorials, it's Flynn's Grave, the stone atopping the ashes of the controversial Flynn and his wife. Originally, the stone was one of the Devil's Marbles, but the traditional owners eventually complained and a more appropriate replacement was found.
The discarded bottles, etc, are a typical Alice Springs landscape.
The sky and the clouds are incredible. That looks like a late summer sky to me.
I can't stand litter. It drives me nuts, especially when it is in contrast with such a beautiful natural area. Sorry, I know I'm being judgmental. I think it is great though that you are taking in the whole scene.
Oooooh, anyone would think you had a new camera or something. I love the lit rock with clouds in the background, it barely looks real.

What's the statue thing, the rock on the stand? (love the discarded bottles)

Wow, I love how the clouds dominate what I have a brief memory of being a very big landscape.
